Are you worrying about Junior Prom and Senior Ball? Well, here are some tips and advice you could use to prepare yourself for this "magical" event.

Worrying about who you are going to take and how you are going to ask them? No problem, remember you don’t need a date to go to prom. Just go alone! Going alone has its perks, no stress about what color should to match, how much money is going to spent on two people, and you will have much more fun being alone not having to worry about your date during the dance.
However, if you want to have a date to go to prom that’s just a good! You can bring your boyfriend, girlfriend, crush, best friend, or anyone else you want to bring. It’s a great way to make life long memories with a specific person.

Asking them though, is a different story. Guys, remember flowers are always a nice touch when you ask a girl to prom. If she is not a flower type of girl, get her some chocolate or a stuffed animal. These little added bonuses will always complete and have a nice touch when asking someone to prom. GO BIG or go home. If you’re going to ask someone, go all out. Don’t ask her in a plain, boring, and cliché way; think outside of the box. Don’t just do the overused poster board or post it notes on the car way, ask her/him in a unique way. Try to incorporate the person’s interest or hobbies, like if their favorite sport is basketball, try and think of a way to ask them with a basketball theme.

Stressing on what to wear? If you are a guy and have a date, you have no worries. Girls know what they want and will choose what you wear. Guys, just say yes and agree to everything your date says. Trust me, it will save lots of time and stress. Girls, cant decide on what to wear and what shoes will look good? Remember, prom is about you and/or your date. If you think or your date thinks you look beautiful in something that’s all that matters. It is your memories and your life, don’t worry if your friends are saying that dress or shoes don’t match. If you believe it’s the most perfect dress/heels in the world and you can rock it, go for it!

As for preparations for prom, they greatly vary between boys and girls. Guys, make sure to take a shower, brush your teeth and floss, put on lotion and deodorant, get a haircut, and be cleanly shaven. If you are driving make sure you have a full gas tank and a little extra money for either food or pictures. As the guy you are expected to pay for all the little things during and after prom. Check up on your date once or twice throughout the day to make sure everything is okay with her and that’s she is not stressing out too much. Don’t forget, guys it is your job to get the corsage and boutonnière. Ladies, make sure you dress to impress but keep it classy. Shave and keep things clean and cut. Make sure you set up your make-up/ manicure and pedicures appointments ahead of time. Less stress is best. Bring an extra pair of shoes for after Prom because your feet are going to be hurting after wearing heels the whole time. Make a schedule for yourself so you are not a stress case throughout the day. Get plenty of beauty sleep the night before.

Now a few last minute tips and advise. Spend more time with your date instead of your friends. Stay above the influence and be safe. Don’t do anything you are going to regret. If you cant dance or don’t know how to, practice before prom! Go on YouTube and there are hundreds of videos that can teach you some moves. And most importantly have fun!
