MISCELLANEOUS

In need of school supplies? Composition books, 3-hold binder paper, white out, presentation folders, stretch book covers, binders and much more! Stop by the Colt Necessities store in the Career Center. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday during both lunches.

PACT study guides have arrived. Pick up your copy at the student windows in the mall office. PACT tickets will be sold until Nov. 7th at the student windows in the main office at both lunches.
College presentations are still taking place here at Logan, and USF is coming November 9th. Interested students should sign up in the Career Center.

ASVAB permission slips are now available in the Career Center. Remember to get your teachers and parents to sign the permission slip or you WILL NOT be testing.

Get paid for a WORLD CLASS education! If your GPA is above a 3.5, or better yet closer to a 4.0, you may want to consider one of the military academies…..US Air Force, US Naval, US Coast Guard, or West Point. To find out more about if you have what it takes to be accepted into an Academy, sign up in the Career Center. The Naval, Air Force and Coast Guard Academies will all be coming to Logan during the month of November. These presentations are open to serious students of all grade levels.

If you have not yet signed up for the Air Force Academy presentation at Logan next Tuesday, time is running out. If you are thinking about a military career, you owe it to yourself to checkout the academies first.

Wrestling practice begins next Monday. The after school group will meet in the mat room. You must have your paperwork turned in to Coach Bagaoisan in order to practice.

Today in Colt Court during lunch, ROPs Biotech Careers in Education classes – Forensic Science and Fire Science – will be tabling. Stop by to find out more about these two great classes, and what taking them will do for you and your future.

Looking for a place to do school work? Need help? There’s a place from 9 to 12 this Saturday, November 5th, in Room 77. Please enter by the carpeted hall near the library.

ACTIVITIES

The Tropics Senior Mobile Home Park is looking for volunteers interested in an ongoing monthly yard work day. For more information, read the posting on Logan’s website under College & Career info, or pick up a flyer in the Career Center.

Tryouts for Boys Basketball will be Mon. – Weds., Nov. 7-9, 2011 from 4-10 p.m. in the Al Rod Gym. If you plan on trying out, all paperwork must be complete and turned in to Coach Fortenberry prior to Monday, November 7th.

CLUBS

There will be an M.S.A. meeting today. New members are welcome. Please remember to bring your donations.

Join the JLHS Praise Dance Group starting Nov. 8th, after school in Room 529. See Ms. Allen for more info!

Key Clubbers: There will be a meeting today after school in Room 303! Bring a friend!

FYA meets every Thursday in Room 414! Come join us and learn about Filipino culture and more! It’s also a place to have fun!

SENIORS

Attn. Seniors: Your initial deposit of $100 for Grad Night is due this Thursday, November 4th, to Ms. Walton in Room 67. If you wish to participate in the Senior Activities Package, which includes a single prom ticket, your senior sweatshirt/t-shirt, and your senior picnic ticket, the $40 deposit is due to Ms. Walton by Friday, November 18th.

Senior Portraits: The last day to have your senior portraits taken is November 23rd. If you have not scheduled an appointment, please call Prestige today. Deadline to select a photo for the yearbook is December 7th.
