If you are an off campus ROP student and have not yet visited Mrs. Hart in the Career Center to get your pink flyer and orientation, please do so before leaving Logan’s campus to go to Fremont ROP.

Job Alert! School year work permits now available in the Career Center’s Colt Necessities and House offices. Summer work permits are good until September 20th. Time to get a new one now!

Students: Remember, if you want to stay on the lunch program, you must fill out a new lunch application for the 2011-2012 school year. You will be dropped next month if you don’t.

Are you looking for information on college visits, SATs, college faires, community service, military or scholarship opportunities? This and more is just a click away on Logan’s website under the College & Career Info Bar. Visit it often as updates are made daily.

ACTIVITIES

Over the next 5 to 6 weeks, college fairs will be traveling through the SF Bay Area. Be sure to check the Logan website for dates and locations.

Is a military academy in your future? If so, attend Academy Night hosted by Congressmen Miller and Garamendi. More info is posted on the Logan website under the College & Career info bar.

The Tropics senior park needs help with their Saturday, September 10th breakfast. Babysitters are needed for meetings held at the District. For these and more community service opportunities, check the Logan website, or stop by the Career Center for a flyer.

St. Mary’s, USD, St. John’s, Boston, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara and University of Nevada – Reno are coming to Logan. Sign up in the Career Center to attend their presentations.

Boys open field soccer will be every Tuesday afternoon on the north fields starting September 13, and running through October 25th, from 3:20 to 4:15 p.m. See Coach Williams in Room 302 for more info.

20+ Volunteers are needed to help with Science in the Park on October 1st. For details, check the Logan website or pick up a flyer in the Career Center.

CLUBS

Are you interested in learning Mexican/Latino Folklorico Dance? Please come to the orientation meeting Wednesday, September 7th. We will be meeting in the Pavilion Dance Studio at 3:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome! For more information, see Mr. Huertas in House 1.
