Logan's girls soccer team has high expectations after beating Mission San Jose High School 8-0 and taking the league title.

Last Thursday the girls sealed a spot in NCS and took MVAL. After a long hard season their work finally paid off.

When asked about the team's success, the team's middle-forward, senior Cheyenne Barnard, said, “We had to keep our composure and stay focused all season long.”
She also said, “It's so good for the seniors to win. I feel like it really brought us together. Senior Night was the best night of my life.”

Forward Paloma Zermeno, a sophomore, led the team with 35 goals. She said, “The season was awesome. We worked hard and stayed dedicated.”

Last Wednesday the team beat Granada High School 3-1.

On Saturday the girls have a game at Carondelet High School.

“It feels great to win our first round game," continued Barnard. "Carondelet is the number one team in NCS so it’s going to be difficult, but I expect our team to win.”
