So fresh, fierce and flawless. The spunky Katy Perry has left all in awe of her sparkling and sassy summer songs from the newly-released album “Teenage Dream”, now in stores.
Whether it's from melting popsicles to melting hearts, Perry always turns up the heat in all aspects of the music industry. Perry’s song “Teenage Dream” was ranked #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“I called the album ‘Teenage Dream’ because I feel like I will always want to be the pin-up poster,” Perry said. “I definitely want to be in everybody’s dreams at all times until I get to Liz Taylor’s age when I’m not in your dreams anymore, and I’m just a diva!”
Girls and boys from all around the world now have a sweet tooth for Katy and are anticipating her next sticky-sweet album.
Perry does sing about having a fun time and just wanting to get up and dance, but at other times, her songs really get to the listener's heart, and you can feel what she felt while she was writing.
“When I was touring, I wanted people to dance more,” Perry said. “You’re getting the sugary sweet, but you’re also getting the ‘Oh my goodness, she had to sit down for a minute and let some things off her chest’.”
Her first lively single “California Gurls”, featuring Snoop Dogg, was a melody that stuck around all summer. Tumbling out of car stereos, gyms and nightclubs, this song was a hit because it seems as though all girls could relate to sun-kissed skin, daisy dukes and bikini tops.
Some other peaks of this album include the lewd tune “Peacock”, the uplifting “Pearl”, the unique and eye-opening “Hummingbird Heartbeat”, the touching “The One That Got Away”, and the crazy tune “Last Friday Night [T.G.I.F]”.
This album is sometimes thought of as being equal to chewing gum, but in reality, it’s as sweet and infinite as an everlasting gobstopper! Never losing flavor, Perry is sure to show listners more of her sweet side.
