Need Drivers Education? Your place is the Adult School. Cost is $125. Two summer offerings, each Mon. – Wed., 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., June 21, 22, 23 or August 2, 3, 4. Applications are now available in your house office or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details.

At the end of 6th period on Wednesday, teachers will distribute 2010-11 course confirmations to all current 9th, 10th and 11th graders. This is a tentative confirmation of the courses students are currently assigned to for the 2010-2011 school year. These courses are not in order by period, nor are teachers assigned at this time. Keep in mind many things can impact student schedules between now and September, including classes students might fail, summer school results, or even California or District budget changes between now and then. Nonetheless, this will give students a “first look” at fall course assignments.

Students should review their confirmations carefully. If you see a problem, or have a question, go to the counseling office before the last day of school and fill out a “Course Confirmation Request Form,” get your parent’s signature, and then leave it in the box for your grade level. Note: request forms are not valid without a parent signature.

Recognizing that counselors are extremely busy this time of year, they will work on requests as possible; however their priority is “finishing up” this school year, and it may be possible student requests aren’t dealt with until after school is out. There is a place on the form to leave contact information for you in case they have questions about your request and need to contact you during the summer. All requests will be dealt with, however, well before the start of school on September 1, 2010.

Thank you and here’s wishing you a successful 2010-11 school year!
