ACTIVITIES
Boys Soccer tryouts begin Monday, November 9. You must have the necessary paperwork turned in to Coach Sills by Thursday, November 5. See Coach Sills in Room 73 for more information.

All girls trying out for soccer must have physicals before tryouts. Soccer tryouts start Monday, Nov. 9.

Boys Basketball is hosting open gym on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Boys and girls wishing to play basketball are welcome to come.




Boys Basketball tryouts are Mon.–Weds. 11/9 –11/11. Any young man wishing to try out must have a completed physical packet turned in to Coach Fortenberry prior to 11/9.

MISCELLANEOUS

Need Driver’s Education? Your place is at the Adult School. Cost is $125. December 28, 29, 30 – Monday through Wednesday – 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications are now available in your house office or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details. Hurry, classes fill up fast!

Happy Birthday to our 11th and 29th Presidents, James K. Polk and Warren G. Harding born this day in 1795 and 1865.

Juniors and Seniors: If you are planning on taking this year’s ASVAB, you must have a permission slip signed by your parents and teachers turned in to Mrs. Hart in the Career Center by lunch November 13th. Permission slips are available in the Career Center. Remember, no signed permission slip, NO TEST!

Guess what? Colt Necessities is back! Come to the pre-grand opening sale during both lunches, in the Career Center. Every purchase equals a giveaway!

If you are interested in finding out more about a ROTC program, the Navy will be giving a presentation in the Career Center on Nov. 3rd during 7th period. To participate you MUST sign up in the Career Center. Also on this day the US Coast Guard Academy will be presenting in the Career Center during 6th period. Again, if you are interested you must sign up to receive a pink slip to be excused from class.

More college presentations are coming to Logan. If Holy Names, Whittier, Coast Guard Academy, NROTC, AFROTC, Sacramento State, UC Davis, UC San Diego, St. Mary’s and USF are of interest to you, be sure to sign up in the Career Center. Space is limited so sign up early.

CLUBS
Clubs, still want to be a part of the Homecoming Fair? Raise money for your club by selling food and items, showcase your talents and perform, and show our community what your club is about. Make sure to turn in your application to Room 67, or have your advisor e-mail Mr. Rojas ASAP.

The Youth Alive Christian Club meets tomorrow after school in Room 418. Bring a friend.
