Growing out your fingernails can be hard work especially if you play sports, or do ceramics.

Some nails split and break easily. Researchers often say that it is because of a lack of calcium in one's diet. Others say that it is a lack of protein. Whatever the cause, maybe there are a few solutions to nail breaking problems.

The first is the natural way. Just drinking milk and adding more calcium is said to strengthen nails. Another technique is to rub cuticle oil on nails. This simulates blood circulation to figure tips theoretically helping nail strength.

Multivitamins are also said to help get nails stronger. The balance of zinc and calcium in the vitamins make a good balance for nails. There is also the option of purchasing nail strengtheners.

One product is called O.P.I. nail strengthener. It is a bit price but works great. Another nail polish brand is from Sally Hansen called hard as nails which works just as good for a cheaper price.

Apply a coat of either one of these base polishes routinely and your nails will stay firm and strong.
