MISCELLANEOUS
Congratulations to the Varsity Wrestling Team for placing 2nd at the NCS Team Dual Championships. The Colts defeated San Leandro 77-0 and Castro Valley 55-9, before losing in the finals to DeLaSalle, 39-31. Good luck at league on Saturday!

Concerned about how the State budget crisis is affecting our school and you? Come share your concerns and questions with District administrators at a student forum on Thursday, February 19th, after school in the Media Center Reference Room.
Cash for College Night is Thursday, February 19th, at 6:30 in the SPOT. Get not only help filling out your FAFSA forms but enter to win a $1,000 scholarship.

Congratulations go out to senior Louis Wong for winning the $1,000 Comcast Scholarship.

On April 26th Hayward Adult School will be hosting the 16th Annual Ukelele Festival for which they need volunteers. The festival itself is a one-day event, but they need volunteers for two days, Saturday and Sunday. If you would like to help out, come to the Career Center to pick up a blue flyer. Of if you just want to go and have a fun day you too should pick up the blue flyer.

19th Annual Sabor Latino Dance is 2/28. Advance tickets are $6, $9 at the door. D.J. will play Latin and English music. Fundraiser for Ballet Folklorico. For more information see Mr. Huertas in the Counseling Office.

Students: You must show your Logan ID to enter campus each day. Students without IDs must have a temporary ID to enter campus. Students who have no ID for two or more days will be charged for a replacement, and parents will be called. In-house suspension will be assigned for 3rd offense. One day suspension from school for 4th offense.

Attn. Students: Anyone illegally parked in a staff parking space (the ones with the yellow lines) will be cited starting February 11, 2009.

Attn. Staff: Please be sure to display your parking placard in your car when parking in staff parking spaces (the ones with the yellow lines). If you don’t have a parking placard, please get one from your House Office or from Sarah Muse in the front office.

Logan has a great place to study, work on projects, use a computer, and get tutoring from your fellow students in most subjects. Logan’s Open Room 77. Monday – Friday, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Tuesday – Thursday, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 8:30 – 12:30. Make the right choice and your grades will improve too!

Juniors and Seniors: Come to the Career Center to sign up for the Feather River College presentation. If you’re looking for a community college surrounded by nature, with dorms, and away from the Bay Area, Feather River College is worth checking into. It’s located in the Sierra Foothills about 2-1/2 hours northeast of Sacramento, and specializes in Outdoor Recreation Leadership, Equine Studies/Agriculture (including a rodeo team ranked #1 in the nation), Environmental Studies (with a fish hatchery on campus), Athletics and Nursing
classes.

CLUBS
Sign Language Club meets tomorrow, Thursday, after school in Room 418.
Drama Club will be meeting after school on Tuesdays in the Little Theater. New members are very welcome!

PEEPs meeting today in Room 31.

We have a C4 Club meeting today right after school in Room 313. Come hang out and play bingo with us!

SENIORS

Seniors, there are about 250 of you that still haven’t purchased your cap and gown! Achievers will be here during lunch on Friday, February 20th & 27th. This is your last chance to buy a cap and gown at the $21.75 price. Don’t procrastinate or be late!

Seniors: NHUSD scholarship applications are in the Career Center now. Remember, they are due Friday, February 27 at 3:45 sharp! No late applications will be accepted.

Seniors, Remember! April 30th is the deadline to have completed and turned in your 20 hours of community service needed to graduate.
