On February 14th at the Newark Community Center on Cedar Blvd. (1 block in from Newark Blvd.) there will be a Black History Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with all types of activities and events including, but not limited to, a College and University Fair, Health and Wellness Seminar, Fashions from Ghana, Soul Food, Obama T-Shirt Competition, Instrumentalists, Poets, Dancers, Historians, and so much more! Valentine’s Day is coming up. Support Marketing and Management, order a Valentine candy gram during both lunches, Monday the 9th through Wednesday the 11th.

ROP students: Monday, February 9th, the Fremont ROP center is closed, which means no ROP classes will be taught at the Fremont site. Logan ROP classes are on their regular schedule. However, you will need to go to class on Friday, February 13th (even though it’s a holiday for Logan, Fremont schools are in session) failure to attend class will be considered a cut unless cleared with a medical or other acceptable excuse. Buses will be provided and run at their usual times. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hart in the Career Center or your ROP teacher.

Logan has a great place to study, work on projects, use a computer, and get tutoring from your fellow students in most subjects. Logan’s Open Room 77.
