Yoyo Sushi Bar & Grille
3958 Rivermark Plz, Santa Clara
(408) 213-9696

By Mia Tungol, Courier Staff Writer

On a recent weekend, my mom and I visited my aunt, who lives in Santa Clara. We wanted to eat out for lunch, so we decided to try a sushi restaurant that we haven't tried before called Yoyo Sushi. When we arrived, the restaurant was not crowded and we were able to be seated right away.

Yoyo Sushi is a typical Japanese restaurant. They offer various different types of sushi, including maki sushi, vegetarian maki, temaki, sashimi, and nagiri rolls. They also serve a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, bento boxes, and donburi, which is over rice. The selection for dessert includes green tea ice cream, mango ice cream, vanilla, strawberry, or mango mochi balls.

The service at Yoyo Sushi was average. Our waitress was kind and checked on us occasionally to see if we needed anything.

Overall, my experience at Yoyo Sushi was nothing special. It was a typical Japanese restaurant that did not really "wow" me. The food was tasty, but I don't think I would be visiting again anytime soon.
