The past few weeks seem to be among the darkest days in Palestinian history. The world has been exposed to images and videos depicting horrors that shock the conscience. Furthermore, the U.S. government seems to be oblivious to the outrage of the world community about these acts.
On Saturday, the Bay Area Palestinian community not only called upon their own, but everyone who is affected by what is going on in Gaza, to join them on the streets of San Francisco to protest the deaths of innocent Palestinians. This was not a riot of angry rabbles, but an emotional march for people of all walks of life.
A young man holding up a photo of his dead cousin walked next to a woman waving a sign that read “Jewish community says stop to Zionism”. The march walked around numerous San Francisco blocks after returning to the Civic center, where they hoped their actions spoke loudly enough to be heard by the men and women in the building in front of them.
