One of the newest pop-rock groups, Clique Girlz, prove to be different from their counterpart Disney Channel celebrities. The difference: the group comprised of sisters Paris and Destinee Monroe and best friend Ariel Moore have voices far beyond their years.

The girls’ ages range from 12 to 14 years old making them younger than their Disney Channel counterparts, but their talent is what makes them worthy of a listen.

The three tracks on the Clique Girlz EP can be relatable to pre-teens. Debut single “Then I Woke Up” is an upbeat song shows off the group’s fun, outgoing personality. The single shows off their multiple personalities “I’m a hip-hop queen/ A rock and roll dream/ It’s all bling bling / I’m the star of the scene.”

The second track on their EP is a cover of American Idol star Diana Degarmo’s song “The Difference in Me”. The Clique Girlz version, which maintains the same rock instrumentals, is fitting for the group’s vocal ability.

The third and final track on the EP, “How Do You Like Me So Far?” further shows that they are an up and coming act to watch out for. The first set of the lyrics of the song “First impression/ You must have thought/ Typical and sweet/ Glasses on, hair pulled back/ Very misleading” have a catchy feel to leave listeners wondering what is next in store for the Clique Girlz.

Overall the Clique Girlz show great potential as a pop-rock group, but the question is whether or not they will be able to stand out from other pop acts in the media. With the seas of Jonas Brothers fanatics and wannabe Miley Cyrus’s, it will take a lot more than a great voice to stand out from the crowd. The question of success for the Clique Girlz is yet to be determined.

Their upcoming album, Incredible, is still yet to be released, but their EP is now available at Wal*mart.
