It will be held at the Ruggieri Senior Center, across from the UC Library, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A free lunch provided by Texas Roadhouse and Fresh Choice is first on the itinerary. The lunch will also be a time for meet and greets and following that will be Lopez’s speech.
Afterward, those in attendance will break up into groups, or sessions, with a list of workshops to choose from. Some of the workshops will include ROP sessions hosted by representatives from Chabot with the topics of technology, arts, and service careers, environmental issues presented by Tri-Ced and Waste Management, and health and other related issues hosted by a Logan teacher, Erin Cross.
The summit will come to an end at 5:00p.m. with performances by Union City Leisure Services Teen Idols. Raffles will be spread throughout the summit with prizes such a Nintendo Wii, an iPod, and gift certificates from local businesses.
