Tonight the James Logan Lady Colts will face the Eagles from American High School in Fremont.

The varsity ladies have not yet played American this season but have high expectations for tonight' game in the James Logan Pavilion.

“I believe we will win” said sophomore Erinn Jones. “We have
been working really hard in practice,” the honors student/athlete said.

The girls Junior Varsity team, on the other hand, have played American in a previous tournament and lost a very close game that came down to a two-point difference. Despite that tournament loss, the JV girls are now undefeated in league.

The JV head coach Craig Harper, who is also a teacher at James Logan, has been working with his team “ We have watched the film of are opponents” Harper predicts “a big win” against the American JV girls.

Though the ladies have lost to American once before, the girls are not afraid to play American.

Sophomore Leandra Galloway said, “We have been waiting for this game to come and its not going to be easy but we have been working really hard to beat American.”

Tonight’s game will be a challenge for the Lady Colts, but they seem to be prepared to face the American Cougars.

The JV game starts at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 p.m.
