The new breakfast/lunch restaurant, Country Waffles, located in the Target shopping center on Industrial Avenue, next to Panda Express, is nowhere near as good as IHOP.

For more information about the Country Waffles chain of restaurants, visit their website.

I went to the restaurant on a busy Saturday, and a calm Sunday.

Sorry to say, but the restaurant is very small, and has sanitary problems. I found a strand of human hair from the head (I hope) inside my omelet. Plus, I saw the hostess clean the tables with a towel, drop the same towel on the floor, step on it, pick up the towel, and continue using it to clean the tables that food is served on.

However, the country potatoes are good, and their prices are reasonable. But the service and cleanliness need some major improvement. If you decide to eat there, I would advise you to check your food, and good luck.

The restaurant is located at 30182 Industrial Ave. in Hayward. Its phone number is (510) 429-9100. Its open from 6 a.m, - 3 p.m. daily.
