The Board of Education on Tuesday night received a report from Superintendent Dr. Pat Jaurequi on staging for the first two years of the Strategic Plan. The Plan, conceived by the community and adopted by the Board to drive budgeting and decision-making for the next five years, includes 54 "action plans," half of which are to be implemented during the first two years. A copy of the Plan can be viewed on the District website (www.nhusd.k12.ca.us).

Four new scholarships are available for graduating Logan seniors only from the Fremont Freewheelers bicycling club, the descendents of school namesake James Logan, admirers of former Logan teacher and district superintendent Guy Emanuele, Jr., and the family of Peter Mendoza, a former student who died in Viet Nam.
