James Logan's Varsity Baseball team had its way with Mission San Jose Wednesday, galloping past the hapless opponent 18-0 in the Mission Valley Athletic League season opener.

The Lady Colts also shut-out Mission San Jose in their softball season opener Tuesday afternoon.

Mike Soltau may be a young head coach for James Logan High School, but he knows his stuff. Soltau came back to Logan to coach the boys’ varsity volleyball team. Volleyball is his passion. He was not able to continue the sport, so he did the next best thing, coach volleyball.

the Mt. Pleasant Relays in San Jose March 5, winning eight events and
joining the victorious boys to win Logan's third straight combined
title.

Logan wrestler Jacob Gire's nemesis Scott Prentice of Alhambra had to beat Gire for a chance to become the 125-lb. champion in the CIF State Wrestling Championships which ended in Bakersfield March 4. Unfortunately for Gire, he lost again to Prentice, this time in the quarterfinals.
The James Logan boys track team won four events at the Mt. Pleasant
Relays in San Jose Saturday, joining the victorious girls team to take
the third straight combined team top honors for Logan.
