MISCELLANEOUS
Zahid Sharif, a Junior in the Marketing & Management Academy, got an 8th place award in the Best Video Commercial competition at the 11th Annual Virtual Enterprise National Competition in Bakersfield, CA for business students.
Congratulations to the Marketing & Management Academy who won several awards at the 11th Annual Virtual Enterprise National Competition in Bakersfield, CA on Dec. 3 & 4. Seniors Gagandeep Gill got a First Place Medal in the Apprenticeship competition. Richard Diaz and Julian Kamelly got 3rd place for Best Company Newsletter competition and Best Company Website Page, Honorable Mention was won by Mandeep Singh and Harsimranjet Singh.

Navy recruiters will be in Colt Court during lunch today.

Cogswell College will be tabling in Colt Court today during lunch. Cogswell is a local 4 year accredited college specializing in Animation, Audio Technology and Game Design

Donate old phones to the Humanitarian Assistance Phone Drive, December 1 to January 10, 2010, and help people with AIDS in Africa. Drop by Colt Court during lunch.

Need Driver’s Education? Your place is at the Adult School. Cost is $125. December 28, 29, 30 – Monday through Wednesday – 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications are now available in your house office or see Mr. Caruso in Room 77 for both an application and details. Hurry, classes fill up fast!

Treat yourself to a fresh, toasty warm bag of delicious popcorn. Popcorn stand located outside of the Career Center during 4th and 5th period lunches.

Drop-In homework/tutoring in Room 77. Daily before school 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., Tuesday-Thursday 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Our Annual Winter Canned Food Drive has started! Please donate canned foods, new toys, and/or money to your 2nd period class and help the families in need in our own community. The top 3 classes who collect the most donations will win a continental breakfast hosted by ASB Leadership. Check with your 2nd period teacher for details and thank you for your generosity.

The senior mobile home park known as The Tropics is looking for help with their holiday party. If you are interested, read your Logan e-mail or see Mrs. Hart in the Career Center.

It is definitely chilly in the morning, and it is definitely chilly at night. Check out the hoodies and long-sleeve t-shirts. They are warm and nice looking. They’ll make a nice gift, too! Check them out at Colt Necessities in the Career Center during lunch 4th and 5th periods.

CLUBS
Bonjour! Come join the French Club today after school in Room 452. We will be discussing “Cirque du Soleil” and more!

Mural Club meets today instead of Thursday this week.

Drama Club presents: Chicago, a free screening in the Little Theater after school on December 15, 2009. We will be having a pot luck dinner afterward so bring some food to share. For more details see Jaiden in the Little Theater.

For those Juniors who are planning to attend the Hispanic College Fair on Thursday, December 10th, please turn in your field trip forms ASAP! We need counts for the bus. See Mr. Huertas or Mrs. Montes.

SENIORS
Show your Senior Class 2010 pride! Your Senior Class 2010 hoodies are here at Colt Necessities, located in the Career Center, during 4th & 5th period lunches. They’ll make a nice gift.
